Born in Sydney, Cape Breton on August 21, 1984 and raised in Hartland, New Brunswick, Mike Bochoff started writing songs and playing the drums in “Pasty Felix”, a local punk rock band, when he was 15 years old. It wasn’t until halfway through his first year of university that he was introduced to the acoustic guitar. Six months after picking up the guitar, focusing much of his attention on writing his own music, he wrote his first of ten songs for what would later become his debut independent release entitled, “…In the Service of Madness,” which was released in August 2007.

After graduating St. Thomas University (Fredericton, NB), Mike was invited to join fellow New Brunswick acts, The Wild and The Renegade Kid (Out-Back Records) on a Cross Canada Tour in September ‘07. In preparation for the tour, he spent the summer honing his skills on the stage while recording, “…In the Service of Madness” with tour mates Jordan Barrett and Mitchell Taylor of The Wild. Having only a handful of shows under his belt before touring the country, Mike adapted very quickly and soon began opening for other well known acts such as Petunia, Marco Rocca (Hope), Madcowboys, Andrew Hunter & the Gatherers, Trevor Anderson (Youthinasia), Mike Barrett, Connor McGuire, and many more.

Since then, Mike has toured the country two more times and has released his highly anticipated second album entitled, “Horror Culture” in October 2009. Having spent the past two years touring on the West coast, Mike plans to tour the Maritimes behind the new album in January 2010, as well as his new music video for the single, “Everything Burns” which is playing at film festivals all over Canada and the United States.
