Hailing from Chicagoland, Infinite Monkey Theorem is an independent alternative band composed of principal songwriter and bassist Danny “Gonzo” Gonzalez, vocalist Lily Lopez, guitarist Max Paton, and producer-singer Charlie Jones.

Originally a brainchild of Charlie and Gonzo, IMT first started making music in the spring of their sophomore year of high school. IMT’s first project, “Human Error”, was released on May 13th, 2021. Due to a lack of any financial backing and experience, they had to market the album guerrilla style, printing out gaudy flyers and placing them around their neighborhood.

After a brief hiatus in which their fourth member, Lily, joined the band, recording for the next album started. Leading itself to catchier hooks, more polished production, and the lack of a defining singular genre, their next release “Nursery Rhymes” dropped December 3rd, 2021. Their sophomore effort garnered them local praise as well as many further opportunities, being invited to perform at Columbia College of Music, as well as a radio interview on Chicago’s 101.9FM “The Mix”.

Their most recent single, “Be Your Man’, was their first song with fifth member Max Paton contributing, and was their first work released under Sony’s AWAL distributor. The song has also received an Illinois Music Education Association award, ranking #1 in the “Rock Band” composition category.
