1) Cool Disposition was a New Zealand blues and R&B band formed in Wellington in 1991 by singer/guitarist Julian Dixon and harmonica player Matt Hay. The band was twice named Wellington's best blues band and played with international acts like George Thorogood and Buddy Guy. After releasing their debut album, "Safe in Sound", the band eventually evolved into the roots rock group Surge, which disbanded in 1997. Matt Hay continued a successful career as a solo artist and as sideman for other New Zealand musicians.

2) Cool Disposition was an American blues and R&B band based in Minneapolis, MN. The band released "Rompin' at the Ribshack" in 2004 and "Jumping in the Mudd" in 2009. Band members were Harold Tremblay (harp), Dan Schwalbe (guitar), Mickey Bauer (vocals), Greg Beach (bass), Marty Bryduck (drums).
