From an early age Karl had a great appreciation for all types of music but it wasnt until he discovered The Prodigy that his music interests focused on the dance scene. After that, there was no turning back but as his passion for dance music grew he found himself wanting harder and faster beats. At a gig in Dublin he finally found what he was looking for in the form of Carl Cox and Dave Clarke. Seeing them in action, listening to the hard pounding techno beats and watching the crowd going nutz to their every move, Karl instantly realised his dream - to become a " World Famous Dj "! From there he saved up for a set of turntables and became a bedroom Dj, playing at the odd session and building an arsenal of records. In 2005, Karl and his friend & fellow Dj Diarmaid O Meara began running techno nights in a local pub. Proving to be a hit with locals for their jackin sound, within a year they found themselves supporting Dj's such as Marco Bailey and Fergie and running highly successful resident nights in some of South East Ireland's biggest Night Clubs. In 2006 they decided to setup their own label " Gobsmacked Records " as a platform to launch themselves and their productions on the techno scene. 1 year later and 2007 has seen Karl supporting the Space Djz, Dj Rush, Dj Bold, Ignition Technican, Robert Armani, Marco Nastic to name but a few. It has also seen the release of the Siren Ep, Karls first release which recieved great reviews - " come on in and join the party. A Chicago booty shaker with all the all the on-beat claps you could ever wish for. Include the World War II siren and you’re lifting the crowd into absolute overdrive. This one’s huge. " - M8 Magazine. At this moment in time Karl eats, sleeps and breathe's techno music. With more releases on the way before the end of the year and an album due out in 2008, it looks like this Dj will be pumping out beats for the forseeable future.
