My name is Zander.

I'm a part English/Italian; professional DJ, producer and promoter, born in the sunny Midlands town of Stoke-on-Trent. DJing...

I love having a good rave and partying during and after my gigs; and to be honest, even though it looks like I’m really enjoying myself; I’m actually bit of a workaholic.

I'm open-minded when it comes to house music; and I’m capable of dropping and layering anything into my sets that will keep people interested.

I play in bars such as various ‘Revolution's, ‘Apres’ and ‘Fat cat’s‘; in and around the midlands (I also compete in; and have won a few scratch and sponsored DJ competitions too; including Corona UK-DJ 2008, Revolution DJ of the year 2004, 2007 and 2009).

I also regularly play at a handful of underground house events, parties and raves in Birmingham, Manchester, Derby, Buckingham, Southampton, Milton Keynes and Leicester. (As in dirtier or more underground sounds including electro, tech, jackin‘, fidget, wonky/wobble and even baseline house and a bit of classic speedy g).

Some of the bigger clubs/events I have played at in the past include: The Gallery-Turnmills, Pacha-London, BCM-Magaluf, Time & Colours-Festival, Golden-Void, Cream-Classics Parties, Sankeys and former Sankeys Soap, Gatecrasher-The Nu Skool. Gatecrasher-Filthy Funky plus several other InBedWith events and GLAS-Birmingam.

If you’re into deckology, scratching and mashing up music in any shape or form; and three decks is a minimum for you: then were definitely on the same page and should hook up in one way or another.

I'm really into turning up the heat on big tunes and making them bounce, even more. So adding real time acapella’s and streaming live mashups is always on the cards when I play out.

Producing...

I started making digital music early 2007 and absolutely love it.

I produce a mixture of original house records and also create mash-ups and personal remixes and edits.

I'm constantly remixing for labels at the moment; which is probably where I’m most comfortable. I really like putting my personal touches and my own particular sound on existing tracks; so if you want me to remix for you then feel free to get in touch.

I produce records under several different aliases:

‘def STUNT’ (Original Tech-House and Progressive-House productions).

‘Zander Mazuka’ or ‘Zander’ (Original House productions).

‘Mazuka Mash’ and ‘Midlands House Mafia’ (Mash-up’s, edit’s and cheeky remixes that I probably shouldn't be touching or tampering with).

Promoting...

I’ve been involved with the promoting of events for several years now; and I still run weekly and monthly events.

My nights include and have included...

‘Wired‘, ‘DirtyStopOuts’ and ‘Mu’ bank holiday specials.

I also co promote and have DJ residencies at the weekly and monthly ‘Revival

There’s a mixture of house styles including tech, uplifting and vocal.

The set is quite similar to that of Laidback Luke and in particular Axwell of The Swedish House Mafia.

It’s also layered live with acapella’s, scratching and some self made tools.

It was an official press release on Barcelona based record label ‘Sesansa Records’ earlier this year.

I haven’t included this set to showcase the only style I wish to play, but simply to show my mixing, producing, layering and technical abilities.

I can play all sorts of House and have a vast assortment of tricks to showcase.
