Marimba Alma De Chiapas De Juan Palacios (The Soul of Chiapas Marimba - Juan Palacios) was founded in 1930 in a village located three miles from Arriaga, Chiapas, home of great composers and performers, marimba, and birthplace to Margarito Palacios, director and founder. Twenty years later in Mexico City, retained the name and prestige for the continuity of his heir and current director Juan Palacios.

In 1997 made his first album titled Pentagram International Editions Marimba Alma de Chiapas, this being a range of compositions and authors such as Manuel Quinonez, Pablo Hernandez and Micke Laure Valdez, among others.
