FEAR BLIND formed in 2001 by founding members Ryan LaChappelle, Billy McDonald and Dave Foster, Fear Blind has evolved through many changes over the years, cycling through vocalists and growing, both as individual musicians, and as a band.
In late 2005, left without a vocalist, Ryan, Billy and Dave were forced to make a decision. Either throw in the towel and give up on the band, or begin the long and arduous search for a new singer.
They didn't have to look far. In working at Guitar Center, Dave was able to recruit Brent Wheeler, a fellow employee, and extremely talented musician. Brent, having lived in California, had already spent considerable time in the 'scene' working with a variety of amazingly talented musicians. This gave him a wealth of knowledge and experience.
Through 2006 the band began writing an all new catalog of songs and wound up sharing the stage with such nationally touring acts as Nonpoint, Taproot, Days Of The New, Ra, 10 Years and The Exies, gaining experience and earning (and learning) respect with each show.
Now, in 2007, the line up is complete, and the band's bonds are stronger than ever. Through creative and experimental writing, constant rehearsing and meticulous attention to detail in the studio, Fear Blind brings something unique to the table. With a live show that explodes with energy, the sound is what sets them apart. Melodic singing set against highly aggressive music.
Currently recording their debut album, tentatively titled "Step Inside" and slated for an early Summer release, 2007 will prove to be a huge year for Fear Blind and fans alike. Read more on Last.fm.
