Having fallen in love with poetry and Hip Hop at a young age, little did Karl Nova know he was beginning on a journey that would thrust him on the stage delivering poetic lines of his own in his unique, witty and energetic style.

Born and raised in London as well as Lagos, Karl always found it difficult to fit in, it reflects in his music because he speaks as one who knows what it is like to be on the margins, in a world where conformity seems to be the key in gaining acceptance, he has always been one to defy expectations and go against the grain.

Whether it is in rap format or spoken word poetry he seeks to give voice to the search for meaning and deep need for faith and hope. His music and poetry is like a diary of his journey, his highs and his lows, his discoveries, observations and personal breakthroughs. He is known for thought provoking and soul searching lyrics delivered in his own style which is sometimes tongue in cheek, other times serious and soul searching but always sincere and heartfelt. Ultimately the main theme of his work is redemption and bringing upliftment while staying true to himself and to his faith.

He has toured extensively with award winning gospel collective GK Real but has such a voracious appetite for recording that he dropped an album (just as I AM: The Prequel) which featured Lisa McClendon, Dwayne Tryumf, Jahaziel and Butta P of Rhema Soul as well as 3 official mixtapes ("Deleted Scenes" "Outside My Bubble" and "Made 'Em On My Phone Outtakes") and a dance EP (Skanksgivin')

His sophomore album "Delayed But Not Denied" was released to critical acclaim. It is a sonically diverse album containing the trademark passionate lyricism, witty wordplay and soul barring lyrics Karl Nova has been known for. It is currently available digitally worldwide on itunes and all digital stores.

Apart from being a wordsmith and energetic live performer, Karl Nova is an avid beatmaker and he released a compilation of electronic music that he totally created on his phone called "Made 'Em On My Phone" He even released some outtakes that didn't make the final cut as a free mixtape.

Karl Nova has remained on the forefront of the scene he is a part of as a social commentator, creative writing workshop facilitator, broadcaster and cultural critic that creates platforms for other artists as he seeks to uplift, inform and inspire through this artistic expression.
