The 9s are a 3-piece rock band based in South London. Their new album Tales From the Black Freighter is due out 10th Feb 2012.

They were conceptualised in a Stockwell beer garden in September 2008, while playing at a gig in other bands. They started rehearsals in February 2009 and played their first show on 22nd of May that year.

The 9s have since played around London, the UK, Wales and Ireland with Bayonets, People in Planes, Buick McKane/Ill Bruto, Jedethan, Twelve Titans, Straight Lines, Tiger Please, Cuba Cuba, Panama Kings, Hold Your Horse IS, Let Our Enemies Beware, Nixa, Cars on Fire, Munroe Effect, Kill Goliath, Crossing the Rubicon, All For The Fall, Death Quit Dancing, Kid Keep Dancing, Drawings, Lafaro, The Rupture Dogs, Strait Laces and Axis Of.
