“Conquer your Dreams and Dream to Conquer”, is the motto that Byron “Black Collar
Biz” Marshall aka Eazy has lived by since coming up with the slogan for his 8th grade
graduating class in 1997. Biz grew up to a very diverse array of music from Gospel, Soul,
Funk and Blues to Hip Hop and R&B; it molded him into becoming the well rounded hip
hop artist that he is today.

At the age of 6, Biz would record his raps as his father’s voicemail messages but didn’t
begin taking rap more seriously until the age of 16 in 1999. Self taught via internet how
to record and make beats, built himself a studio at home. It is then that he began battling
in ciphers and competing in local talent shows. His love for poetry would help him
translate rhymes into musical word play and witty metaphors. This would clearly become
his unique style that would draw one’s attention whenever he held a mic and not to say
his energy on stage that transcends into the crowd.

In 2003 after some time and life altering events Biz begin to seek God and became
more of a spiritual MC by the name of “Man of God”. Even then his skills still shone
through and he succeeded in winning a Gospel competition where he was able to meet a
very talented Hezekiah Walker. After selling about 1000 cd’s, he felt he wasn’t a devout
Christian and immediately gave up rapping.

In 2005 he realized hip hop was his life and proceeded to make music, along with his
friends to form a group called Heart of the City (HOC), consisting of Timothy "Sice"
Williams, Curtis "Curt Da King" Moore, and Valon "Fat Boi" Warren. After releasing
their first mixtape called “From the Ground Up” in 2006, HOC did shows up and down
the east coast from Connecticut to Atlanta. Although they made progress, they had inner
problems and decided to split up in 2009.

In 2010 right after the split of HOC, Biz wasted no time in regrouping himself with
his true friends Curt Da King and Jesse "H-Dot" Hampton, naming their group "Capitol
H-ill" (Capitol Hill). Early in the year they dropped their mixtape "We Different". The
mixtape got good feedback and the crew started doing more local shows and the buzz
was regained again. It is then when Biz was infamously heard all over South Jersey area
and got the opportunity to work with other talented MC’s. One of them being his old
high school friend, Dante "Scoop" Dicks, reached out to Biz for a feature with the Band
Smash N Grab. The feature was a local hit and there was no doubt that Biz will become a
new featured artist on the band's album. Shortly, because of his music knowledge and the
ability to have a good listening ear, he was asked to work as an engineer and producer in
the state of the art studio D&S Media.

Throughout his journey, Biz has been able to create all those genres of music he grew up
listening to. Dropped a decent amount of diverse singles and will continue to do so. Follow as
