Karin Leitner (born in Vienna in 1972) is an Austrian flautist and composer. She has played flute and piccolo with the orchestras of the Vienna State Opera and the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra. Leitner plays a wooden flute. She also composes music for flute, harp and orchestra. In 2007 she recorded "Music of Great Irish Houses" as Karin Leitner & Cormac De Barra.
Studies and diploma at the Academy of Music and Arts, Vienna (Prof. W. Schulz) and at the Academy of Music Freiburg, Germany (Prof. R. Aitken).
Master classes with Peter Lukas Graf and Robert Aitken.
