FUGATE is an American rock band from Southern California formed in 2009 by Mike O’Brien (drums, banjo) and Jon Sorensen (guitars, vocals). Mike and Jon have been jamming together since the early 90′s, and since that time they have continued to write and record music in Mike’s garage. Many of those nights ended with a beer in hand listening to everything from Clutch and Motorhead to Johnny Cash and Gillian Welch. Hearing all this great music fueled the urge to start a band, record an album, and play live gigs.

In 2009, they began work on a full-length album under the name “FUGATE.” The result is their debut CD “Hickrock Volume I.” Combining elements of their blue grass, classic rock, punk, metal, and desert rock influences, FUGATE has managed to craft their own unique sound.
