Vidal Montgomery (full name: Darren Vidal Montgomery Taylor, aka Monty) is classically trained artist and Tottenham Hotspurs FC fanatic. His jazz performance style is built upon a London street vibe reflecting Reggae, Funk, Hip Hop and soul.

Vidal's bass has been the driving force behind a plethora of artists like Courtney Pine OBE, Denys Baptiste, Carleen Anderson, Steve Williamson, Maxi Jazz ( Faithless) Orphy Robinson, Jean Toussaint, J-life, Julie Dexter, JazzXchange, Robert Miles, Nathan Haines, Imaani (incognito), Tony Kofi, Rob Gallagher ( Two Banks of Four) and Talvin Singh etc.

The Horizon Venture (released at the end 2012) is his latest album. It is an Afro sci-fi soundtrack, a futuristic retrospective in sound.
