PHX is the creative outlet of Jake Buckley (b. May 28, 1989), pianist, self-taught guitarist and music enthusiast. Initially created as an experiment in simple channel overdubbing in February 2006, PHX has evolved from a collection of low-quality acoustic covers into a computer-generated music source.

The first original material from PHX was authored between April 2007 and January 2008; it was released as "Symphaesm" on February 17, 2008. Since April 2008 PHX has created over 15 new tracks. 11 of these appear on the latest album "Neutral Eyes [The Burn]", released on August 8, 2008. Read more on Last.fm.
