Man Bites God are an upbeat, busker-rock band from Melbourne, Australia. Their music is catchy and melodious and their lyrics are fun and, at times, a little perverse. Their songs are a mix of pop/punk/rock, with cool harmonies and lush arrangements.

Their music sounds like a mix of The Beatles, They Might Be Giants and Ben Folds.

The band remain fiercly independent, keeping creative control over all facets of their music. This allows Man Bites God to sing songs about subjects that other bands just aren't allowed to; ninja love songs, the Pope, gnomes with chainsaws, transvestites, cubby houses, astronomical fashion and shower curtains are just a few of the topics covered.

Man Bites God regularly tour Australia and performed in the UK in 2004.
