−真天地開闢集団−ジグザグ (Shintenchi Kaibyaku Shudan Zigzag; English "-True Heaven and Earth Creation Group-Zigzag")is a Japanese visual kei rock band from Japan, formed in 2015.

* Drums: 影丸 (Kagemaru; calls himself "The Great Shinobi of taboo")

History:
2015–2016: Formation and early activity
The group launched its official website on 2015/6/19 and began shaping the project’s concept around ritual and spiritual imagery. The band was formed later that year and moved into full-scale activity on 2016/1/31. Their worldbuilding became a key element from the start. Live shows were framed as misogi and their audience as sanpaisya.

2018–2020: Early releases and lineup changes
On 2018/1/1 they released the compilation album Hajimete no Zigzag. Only a few weeks later, on 2018/1/24, Jin withdrew from the band due to health issues and ended his musical activities.
Their first nationwide release came on 2018/7/25 with the single Kaeritai kedo Kaerenai.
In early 2019 another shift followed when Azusa left the band on 2019/1/25 after their show at BIGCAT.
Despite these changes the band continued to expand its reach and released the album Zigzag Ni: Shintenchi in 2020.

2021–2023: Growing popularity and Budokan
2021 marked a new level of exposure. On 2021/4/19 they opened their official fanclub Gathering of Worshipers “Berebo”. Their digital single Sansan Sekai was released on 2021/9/10 and shortly after, on 2021/9/22, they entered the Billboard Japan Download Songs chart for the first time, reaching tenth place.
Their third album Zigzag San: Mugen was released on 2022/1/5 and reached third place in the Oricon weekly album ranking on 2022/1/11, their highest position at that point.
The band held their first misogi at Sanrio Puroland on 2022/1/22 and announced the special release Jiguzagu Puroland Misogi 〜The Love of Life Has Arrived〜.
On 2022/2/24 they published the photo book Jiguzagu Shashinshu –mugen–.
Later that year, in November, they performed their first solo concert at Nippon Budokan. Their fourth album Zigzag Yon: Saikou followed in 2023.

2024–Present: Recent work
The band continued steadily into the next phase of their career. In 2024 they released the EP Gran ∞ Grace and a live Blu-ray documenting their tour. They also carried out their nationwide hall tour Zenkoku Kaibyaku Misogi – Ten to Chi.

Musical style and influences:
Zigzag combine modern rock with catchy melodies and theatrical arrangements. Their visual kei approach is central to their identity, supported by character concepts for each member. Musically they shift between heavy, melodic and sometimes humorous songs. Their work draws from classic rock, pop-leaning hooks and dramatic structures. The band presents itself as a symbolic “new beginning”, a theme also reflected in their name.

About the members:
Mikoto writes both lyrics and music for the band.
Ryuya originally played guitar before becoming the bassist.
Kagemaru is also known by his real name Yamamura Yoshinori and plays drums in the band WWEEZZ.
