Karmick:
The two piece band Karmick was a match made by destiny, as these two brothers naturally flourish in their respective fields of music. Maneshwar Singh, the older brother, takes on the composing and songwriting duties, while younger brother Maheshwar Singh provides the percussion, playing on anything from a drum kit to the tablas. The band has a background in Indian Classical music, and more so, Sikh devotional music known as Kirtan. This diverse background spawns grooving rhythms and pleasantly flowing melodies, throughout all their experimental song structures. Though they have a background in Sikh music, you almost can't tell when you hear the driving rhythms and emotional vocals, yet they have a way of evoking certain moods associated with eastern theories of music. You can always expect the best from this multi-talented band. They have expressed interest in releasing albums of various styles and genres of music, often incorporating their own flare to make their pieces stand out as their own. The band is primarily self-taught, which adds an edge to their unique sound.

Maneshwar Singh:
Primarily a Vocalist and Harmonium player, he grew up listening to Sikh Kirtan and Indian Classical Music and has playing since the age of 8. This translated well when he picked up Guitar and started writing songs, as you can often hear the influences of his early background in the odd interval choices between the chords and notes that he plays. Though he has been composing for a while, he has no formal training in western style music or reading music.

Maheshwar Singh:
Though he is young, he is clearly not inexperienced as a percussionist, often adding subtle flavor to his beats and rhythms that is inspired by his Indian classical background. Well known for playing tablas, he also picked up the drum kit and enjoys overlaying both in his percussion tracks. He also plays the djembe, dhol, congas, bongos, marimba, and has western musical training on Saxophone.
