5 Finger Discount started in early April 2006 and have been making a name for themselves in the Michigan Ska/Punk scene since. Playing with many well respected regional/touring acts (such as Riot 49, Stuck Lucky, the Denslow Cup, Hudson Falcons, Sycamore Smith, the Fried Chinese Donalds, I am Citizen, and many many others) they have built a solid fanbase. Their music is melodic but still has the raw intensity that is punk rock. Their lyrics are angry, self destructive, anti-social, depressed, and pseudo-political (although they've been known to throw a love song or two into the mix).
