Extirpated was formed in 2006 by Alex Roth and Hannes Nystèn under the name "Vaginal Stabwound". Their vision was to play the music of the more brutal kind that they enjoyed playing and listening to. They recorded their first demo, "Gagged" in 2006 which was followed by a second demo "Clitcommander" in 2007.

In 2007 Andy Tseung from Mp5K and Vomitous joined the band on vocals.
