Wikked are a heavy metal / hard rock band from Bumfuck, Iowa (Egypt's sister city). Jesse James and Brandon "The Drum God" Parcel were classmates / acquaintances from back in the day (sixth grade), but weren't the greatest of friends until they crossed paths again later in life at, of all places, an oatmeal factory where they both worked. Early in 2005, Brian Thompson joined the oatmeal slingers where he met Brandon, and later that year, was introduced to Jesse as well. Jesse and Brian each left the oatmeal for a while, Jesse living the glamorous Osage, IA life for about a year and Brian spending the summer of 2006 in St. Louis, MO. Late in 2006, Brian and Jesse each found themselves beckoned, once again, to the oatmeal. It was around this time that Jesse and Brandon began talking more seriously about getting Wikked off the ground. Brian, having overheard these talks and being a longtime wannabe rock star, butted his head into the conversations and wound up becoming the third piece of the puzzle. Still needing a bassist, Jesse called on his longtime friend Shawn Johnson to fill that void. And on October 1, 2006, the first day all four members converged, Wikked was born.

Their first couple of months were spent learning some covers, but that left them feeling a little unfulfilled. Around the beginning of 2007, they began delving headfirst into their own original songs, and they've taken off like a rocket. They're all lifelong music fans with the passion to make this work. Unfortunately, Wikked parted ways with bassist Shawn Johnson in October 2007. But very fortunately, it opened the door for them to assimilate our new bassist/keyboardist/guitarist, Justin McFarland, into their collective... as he so righteously asked the band to do. Once again, he was found at the oatmeal factory, and soon proved to be a combustible element when placed into a room with the rest of Wikked. Since joining the band in December, he has added his own special touch to the existing songs, and helped to create several new ones - as the say, the hits just keep on coming!

With the addition of McFarland to the band, the first album (From Atrophy To Ecstacy) was finished writing in a matter of months. On May 3, 2008, Wikked submitted their accomplishment to the world via an album release party at the Osage City Park.

Even before the recording of From Atrophy To Ecstacy, more song ideas had begun to formulate. And who are Wikked to deny their muse? So they've continued to write, write, write, as long as the inspirado continues to hit.
