Static Taxi 'officially' formed on June 1, 1988. Although John Reipas & Ray Reigstad had been playing music w/ Bob Stinson since his Replacements days it wasn't until the arrival of Texan Chris Corbett that the band became serious and legitimate in the overtly crowded Mpls. music scene. There are many bootlegs flaoting around (mainly cassettes) but only two actual formal releases: Stinson Blvd. (2000) on Rock X-Change Records and "Closer 2 Normal" (2003) on Birdman Records.
