Experimental, progressive rock duo Gravity Tree hails from the San Francisco Bay Area. Linc and Alan, the only bandmembers, are known for live shows of fully arranged (bass, guitar, drums, keyboards and vocals) songs performed only between the two of them, without the aid of sequencers, drum machines or any pre-recorded tracks.

This is largely accomplished with custom built guitars for Linc, and adding a keyboard and electronic percussion to Alan's acoustic drum kit.

Their latest album is ULTIMATE BACKWARD, which follows up the 2000 release, LIFE OR DESSERT?. As of this writing (June 2007), the title track from LIFE OR DESSERT? has held the number one position on NumberOneMusic.com's Progressive All-Time music chart, for over a year.
