Born in Nottingham in the 80's, Benzla grew up listening to a wide variety of music. His dad always playing Motown, reggae and northern soul, there was no escaping good music. He started playing around with music at the age of 6, when his parents gave him his first keyboard. Along came the 90's and so did electronic music. And it came HARD. Messing about with the radio tuner Benzla found some of the early pirate radio stations that was around in Nottingham at the time such as Heatwave radio, Buzz fm, and many more.
