Being the grandson of a jazz musician, music was always that irregular pulse in Benjamin ‘Lazurus’ Curtis’s heartbeat. Being exposed to such a plethora of music genres at such and early age instilled an appreciation for the art form. He began writing stories and poetry as a positive alternative release of internally contained frustrations, caused by various hardships he experienced growing up including being pronounced dead for 14 minutes as a child before being revived. The sound of the time and the embrace of his culture sculpted his poetic alternative release into rap verses. Driven buy pure love and respect for the craft, he honed his talent until his story was ready to be told and remained unaltered by life's obstacles. 4 solo albums later and over 30 group efforts and countless production credits he has the undivided attention of his audience.
