Dave Hawkins writes songs meant for slowing down in a fast-moving world. Based in Denver, operating out of a home studio, he blends his years of experience playing classical piano with synth textures and indie guitar rock to create something reflective of where we're at.

His new EP Half Alive looks at the loops we get stuck in and the moments that break us out. From the hum of screens to the clarity that follows when they finally go dark. Written between the stresses of a full time job, raising kids, in early morning or late nights, the songs find meaning in the blur: small flashes of humor, hope, and resistance inside everyday life.
