Created in 2012 in Belém do Pará - north of Brazil, the band Molho Negro is formed by João Lemos, Raony Pinheiros and Antonio Fermentão. The trio mixes chaos, irony, sarcasm and noise in the brazilian rock scene.

The band, led by vocalist and guitarist João Lemos, has already released four albums: the eponymous “Molho Negro” (2012), “Lobo” (2014), “Não é nada de Isso que Você think” (2017), “Normal” (2018). In addition to the single “Contracheque” (2019) and a DVD on YouTube entitled “33’54” – Molho Negro ao vivo”.

Recently, the band released its fifth album, titled “Estranho” and successor to “Normal”, with 11 songs marked by minimalism in the arrangements.

According to João Lemos, the album, recorded at the end of 2020 and completed at the beginning of 2022, at Estúddo Costella, in São Paulo, with Gabriel Zander, was inspired by real life and made to talk about more difficult things.

Molho Negro has already been to festivals such as Lollapalooza, Festival DoSol, GarageSounds, Abril Pro Rock, Se Rasgum, SIM São Paulo, Virada Cultural de São Paulo, Bananada, Morrostock, Oxigênio Fest and, now, Primavera na Cidade.
