Aaron Hendra is an Australian born singer, songwriter and musician. Inspired by artists such as Peter Gabriel, Seal, U2 and Tom Petty his music is a powerful blend of rock, pop, acoustic and Americana. He is the first artist to be released on LA based indie label Give Records.

Aaron moved from Australia to LA with his band Supanatural in 2001 on a Recording contract with Hollywood Records. After loosing the deal Aaron stayed the course in Los Angeles and for the next seven years steadily developed his songwriting craft. Finally, persistence paid off and in 2008 Florida based financial manager Rick St George saw great potential in Aarons music and backed the project. St George named it the ‘Aaron Hendra Project’ and together they created Give Records. It’s called ‘Give’ because it gives 100% to the artist and is based on a wider philosophy of giving. Over the next 2 years Aaron and a dedicated team of engineers, producers and musicians honed the debut album named ‘October’. Aaron wrote 100% of every track on the album.

One song in this collection was inspired by the story of Sam Childers a.k.a the Machine Gun Preacher. In 2010, Sam asked Aaron to write a song about his mission. He was later invited to travel to Africa to record the actual children rescued by Rev. Childers. It is their voices you hear singing at the end of ‘One Mans War’. A feature film on the life story of the ‘Machine Gun Preacher’ is currently in production and will star Gerard Butler as Sam Childers. The film is directed by Marc Forster (Quantum of Solace, The Kite Runner, Monsters Ball) and will be released through Lionsgate late 2011. ‘One Mans War’ will feature in the Machine Preacher Documentary and Reality series to air on US networks in 2011.
