The World Within is the international melodic metal band founded by Joni Teppo and Slava «Hadfes Oblivion» - the Finnish and Russian musicians respectively. In 2014 their strong intention to make a song together just for fun was followed by the act of creating the band.

When the first original song of the project called «The Candles» was written and the musicians started tracking it, Russian singer Igor Plotnikov was asked to record the clean vocal parts for it. After providing the song with the vocals, he joined The World Within as a full-fledged member. After releasing the single «The Candles» the same year Joni, Slava and Igor started writing the new songs for the first The World Within’s full-length album.

The next year the geography of the band became even wider when American drummer Kevin Tutaj joined The World Within and the musicians kept working on the songs already as the quartet.

In 2018 The World Within is finally ready to present their debut full-length album «From the Ashes of a Wasteland» to the world outside their band. The style of the album may be described as symphonic melodic death metal with the elements of many other genres. The fans of Wintersun, Ensiferum, Frosttide, Kalmah and Norther may find themselves liking The World Within’s music as well.
Instead of belonging to the certain geographical area The World Within is uniting the cities Nivala, Vladivostok, Novosibirsk and Las Vegas.
