Alone in My Room is a post-punk/coldwave band formed in Fresno, California, in mid 2019. The band consists of vocalist Ryan Phillips, guitarist Ratty Matt, and bassist Nathan Bolls. The project originally started in a garage when the band members were just 19 years old.

They played a many shows towards the end of 2019 in their hometown and one in LA, opening for N8NOFACE, Ill Humans, and Drew Bludd. When the COVID pandemic hit in 2020, the band turned their isolation into creativity, experimenting daily with new material and equipment. That same year, they released their first full-length album through Oráculo Records in Barcelona, with a limited run of around 300 vinyl copies, roughly 100 of which made it to the United States.

By 2021, the band had returned to live performances with underground alley and house shows. Their debut project captured in the Original Set album, preserves a lot of their 2019 live set list, most of the shows played that year in 2019 and were recorded then.
