Jourden can best be described by the synonymic tag her brand emanates. She’s just different. A musical baby birthed from the likes of Erykah Badu, Lauryn Hill, Notorious B.I.G, Outkast, and A Tribe called Quest, she’s lyrically and stylistically extraterrestrial. A baby Yoda of sorts for her generation. Music is her motive, not clout or fame. She makes music for the voiceless, the silenced, the overlooked, and the unheard. Often emotions she’s withstood among her own journey in music. Growing up in Brooklyn, Ny most likely birthed her curiosity towards everything ” other” with the myriad of perspectives and walks of life she was bare to. She describes her sound as familiar but different, as she is inspired by everything in essence yet singularly her own. She invites her listeners to come on this journey with her while simultaneously imploring them to find the divinity and freedom within their own path.
