One night back in 1997 three friends were sitting around a fire with an acoustic guitar... wait, thats not right. That's Nightwish's backstory. It all started in Boston, Massachusetts back in 2005 when a drunken 15 year old boy named Patrick Josepeh Ryan met Spencer Richard Hensel and Eric John Camire. Lots of drinking ensues for an additional 3.5 years. Then, Patrick meets some chick named Sara Marie Landry by cliche-ly hitting on her and asking her for her biology homework only to find out that they aren't in the same class. More drinking ensues. One day they all have a 7 day road trip to Shelton, CT... which is only 160 miles away, but they somehow manage to make it last a week. They recorded their 7 minute EP in 5 hours at a friend of Sara's recording studio. With essentially no material going into the studio, they refined their songs with the help of alcohol and shear awesome muscianship.
