"Fend became a band fall 2003, only then under the amusing name "BananTurbo". This name was abandoned along the way when we found that some people weren't taking us seriously, and started comparing us with "Banana Airlines" and the Norwegian band "Turboneger".

Fend is really four guys in their late teens who have been playing together for several years, and have lately begun to take their hobby more seriously. We define our music as varied rock, though some of our audience have compared us with Blink182, amongst others. A label we can't relate to 100% (But hey, anything to please an audience...) Some important sources of inspiration are the bands Feeder and Radiohead.

When it comes to what's been going on in the busy days of Fend lately, there are a few minor events worth mentioning. Among them a decent ranking in the UKM, a participation to an "All stars"-CD, a couple of succeded concerts, and the grateful job of playing a concert at By:Larm, a rather aknowledged musical happening. A thing we won't soon forget.

We feel home on stage, and we hope to be playing on a stage near you in the future. Our highest goal remains to be: Signed Record Label.
