BIO:

Nicky Wan, Vinnie Tao, Jake Greville and previous bassist Dave Lawson met at Bolton School Boys' Division where they attended Secondary School and College together.
"Call It A Day" was formed in September 2005 from a previous band called "Mention My Suicide" including Wan, Tao, Greville and Lawson and additionally Mat Wilkinson on aggression vocals. Due to a change in musical style however, the band moved on and changed their name.

After their formation, Call it a Day gigged for a number of years at local venues such as Soundhouse and the Blue Boar, building up a small but loyal fanbase, before moving on to larger venues in the nearby Manchester music scene. The most notable of these Manchester shows was Manchester Academy 3 on the 20th of March 2007, which marked their transition from 'just a local band', to 'up and coming musicians'. The band now regularly plays in and around Manchester at venues such as Music Box and Satan's Hollow, and also often in Huddersfield and the surrounding areas, where both Wan and Tao attend university.

Now extremely experienced and with an explosive live show, Call it a Day are ready to move up and become a household name, and this is sure to soon be a reality with recent support slots with bands like Me Vs. Hero and Kenai, as well as upcoming shows with bands like The Wonder Years.



DISCOGRAPHY:

Call It A Day have realeased two EPs, along with several demos.


EPs:
'Your Name In Lights EP' from which they have released the single 'Plan B'.
'Call it a Day EP' their eponymous EP recorded with producer Jay Gough, who has worked with artists such as A Wilhelm Scream and Pennington.

This single did not reach the charts however it gained the band a reputation within Bolton School and sold a large number of copies both inside and outside the school.


VIDEOS:
A promotional video has also been shot for the song 'Save Yourself' an unreleased fan favourite.


LIVE:
Call It A Day sport an energetic live show incorporating covers of well known bands such as Taking Back Sunday, Blink-182, Refused, Fall Out Boy and Funeral for a Friend creating a sing along atmosphere with the crowd.
