Pursesnatchers is a home-recording project of Doug Marvin, with able assistance, advice and Melodica-tooting by his wife Annie Hart (Au Revoir Simone). They and their two cats, Jumpsuit and Sasha, are based in Greenpoint, Brooklyn. Doug is also a member in good standing of the bands Dirty on Purpose, Black Acid, and Neckbeard Telecaster.

Pursesnatchers recently filled out their lineup for the record, current members are Doug Marvin, Annie Hart, Jared Barron, Harold Liuwhich. The album "A Pattern Language" was released July 19th 2011.
