The history of Team Blast dates back to 2004: Péter and Tamás met each other in the rehearsal room of Budapesti Street. Tamás was a guitarist pupil in the local music school, the same place where Péter was learning to play the drums, while László was learning to talk since he was only 3 back then. They played their very first gig together the same year, and from then on, in different music groups they played on stage nearly fifty times.
The current lineup is present since 2018, but the members of the trio, with a few intermissions have more than fifteen years of history playing together.
What do we have behind us?
We have one album out called Buddha Blast. The peak of our musical career is a sold-out concert at A38.
Where is the name from?
Blaszt (beyond having an exact meaning in the English-speaking world) in the Hungarian slang means every single thing that is free of any compromise – about that we can be so sure, since we are the ones who have established the phrase in the Budapestian thieves’ latin. The band members in their free time are completing missions as neologists.
Our influences:
Everything that is 21st century, modern, electro – everything that strives to rethink the correspondance of analog and digital.
Musical style:
Progressive, electro, jazz in it’s mentality, failing in traditionalism.
What do we do in our free time?
(Neologism, as mentioned above, but also) in the daytime working as psychologist and epée fencer (Péter), teacher (Tamás) and high school student (László).
