Spookie is Eric Johnson, of Asheville, NC (USA). You may remember Eric from his earlier days as the lead guitarist of Archers of Loaf, one of the biggest indie rock bands of the '90s. These days he's busy going to law school and occasionally releasing material on MySpace.

Previously, Johnson was releasing some of his material under the name "SpookyJ". He changed to the name "Spookie" in 2005.

He's not really staying in 1 genre, there's elements of ambient, indie rock, folk, electronica and downtempo work. Out of all the post-Archers projects there are (Crooked Fingers, Man Band), Spookie is the closest to maintaining a bit of the classic Archers sound, and that's because of Johnsons solid guitar playing and unique style.
