Geoff Burnet is vocalist/bassist of NZ electro-acoustic band Room Noir, and references bands such as The Legendary Pink Dots, Pink Floyd, Skinny Puppy, Mansun, Talk Talk and Tears For Fears as major influences.

He notoriously adores gin and is infamous for his inebriated mishaps on and off stage, sometimes going missing for weeks at a time.

His lyrics mostly discuss fear, paranoia, isolation and obscure metaphors relating to the darker side of day to day survival.

He has featured in other bands such as The Difference Engine (Lyrics, Vocals), Railway Chess (Synth-Bass, Keys)and Hadley B's solo effort Blue Skies EP as backing vocals.

He is currently finishing a 6 track EP under the working title: "A Grey Bird Flew Past The Window" with Hadley B and Jason M, in between working on a solo effort titled "Postcards From A Haunted World".

Postcards From A Haunted World is an ambiguous folk/glitch/blues sideproject centred around what the world would look like if humanity abruptly disappeared. Richard Mathison's I Am Legend may have had something to do with it, or possibly a nuclear war, or maybe even a wayward probe bringing strange radiation from the planet Venus. One thing was certain; humanity vanished overnight, leaving our planet like a picked skull forever floating around the sun, the most haunted world in the solar system, bearing remnants of a mysterious civilization, creating the perfect soundtrack to deserted, silent cities, and sunsets over a sky devoid of any activity.
