Hailing from Los Angeles is a new kind of band. A band full of merciless musical bombardment. One minute you're mezmorized with melody and before you know it you've been dropped on your head in rythmic chaos. The members of yotokyo are just as unpredictable. They have been playing together in different bands and lineup's for over 4 years. Cal Campbell (vocals) and Phil Adkins (lead guitar) have been writing together for over 6 years and were in the band Otis with John Ransom (bass). From Phoenix they moved to L.A. and formed yotokyo. David Piribauer (drums) had been playing in the national act Revis and joined yotokyo shortly after it had formed. Together they were able to create a new sound that you can't quite put your finger on but you can certainly dance to. They have been creating quite a stir with everyone who sees and hears them. Yotokyo has also just added James Webb of the Webb Brothers to their lineup thus bridging the gap of musical generations. Cal and James' fathers (Glen Campbell, and Jimmy Webb) had been the ultimate singer/songwriter Duo in the 70's. You will most definitely see great things from this band! Read more on Last.fm.
