Statement Haircut are a duo from the Northwest and Midlands UK. Influenced by dance, post punk, funk, dub, and pop and interested in guitars vs. synths and harmonies vs. beats.

Replying to a gumtree advert, two vocalists, Darren Reynolds and Michael Stevenson, separately applied for a houseshare in the now notorious 'Electric Langham Land' where they found a shared interest in songwriting, guitars, synthesizers and home recording.

They began performing live in October '09. To date live performances have included Manchester's Trash-O-Rama, Liverpool's Threshold Festival, Parr Street studios, Barfly, Mello Mello, Zanzibar, Korova (RIP) and Chew Disco 2 - recommended in 'The Guardian' as one of the best club nights of November 2009.
