In the summer of 2011, blues artist Denny Snyder (aka Southside Denny) decided to include two of his three children in his band's live concert presentation. At only 12 years of age, his daughter Lorrie had already appeared on two songs of Snyder's eighth album (Full Circle, winner of blues album of the year in Québec for 2010), and performed at various festivals with him during the summers of 2009 and 2010. Some of these include the Salon du Guitare of the Montréal Jazz Festival, the Mont Tremblant Blues Festival, the Canadian Guitar Festival and many others. And already since that time she not only sings, but has taken up the electric bass. She holds down the bottom end for the Snyders, and is also the bassist in her secondary school jazz band. The addition of her voice in the band breathes a whole new life into her father's blues.

Denny's son, Philip Snyder began playing the drums at 3 years old and is already a drum and percussion veteran at age 11. He first performed with his father at the Boite à Chansons de L'Assomption in October of 2010, and last August played both the caron and drum set in his father's shows in Québec and in the U.S.

After the successes of last summer the trio decided to make this entity an official band and simply call it by their given family name: The Snyders. Deeply rooted in Chicago blues, this band crosses many musical styles and influences, making it difficult to categorize their music. They merge such diverse musical elements as blues, rock, funk, francophone pop and even manouche into their sound. Staying true to the roots of the entire group, they are also bilingual, and have several songs in French in their repertoire.

The family ties don't end with the three musicians you will see and hear on the stage. The lyrics to three of their new songs were penned by their mother/wife Josée Larose. Their oldest daughter, Ariane Larose took care of the artwork and design, making this project a total family effort. À l'été 2011, Denny Snyder, artiste blues aussi connu sous le nom de ''Southside Denny'', décidait d'inclure 2 de ses 3 enfantsdans ses concerts en public. Le fils de Denny, Philip, qui commencé à jouer la batterie à l'âge de 3 ans, est déja un batteur-percussioniste chevronné à l'age de 11 ans. Il a joué pour la première fois avec son père à la Boîte à Chansons de L'Assomption en octobre 2010 et en août dernier, il a joué le carone et la batterie dans les performances de son père au Québec et aux États-Unis.

De ce fait, il devient difficile de les classer dans une catégorie de musique, car leur musique emprunte des éléments à différents genres musicaux tels que le blues, le rock, le funk, le pop francophone et même le manouche. C'est un vrai produit québécois, dont les membres sont bilingues. Ils ont plusiers chansons en français dans leur répertoire.

Les liens familiaux ne s'arrêtent pas à ces trois musiciens sur scène. Les paroles de 3 leurs nouvelles chansons ont été écrites par leur mère/épouse (Josée Larose). Les Snyder travaillent présentement sur un projet d'album et l'aînée de la famille (Ariane Larose) s'occupe du design de la pochette, faisant de ce projet entièrement familial.
