In the world of Biochemistry and physics a Transmitter is classified as a connecting element, but since the start of the millenium, 4 guys from Hanover and Newcastle have been using the term to define their own music - an unbelievable energetic exciting mixture of all styles and genres.
Transmitter unite, combine and bring together - not only different sounds and styles of music like Electro, Hip-Hop, Rock, Crossover or reggae, but their audience too, who are just as diverse as their music. Amongst the crowd you'll find Electro girls and techno boys, punks and hard rockers, metal heads, homeboys and hippies all moving and grooving to the sound of Transmitter!

Since 2001 the band have been touring continuously around Germany and throughout Europe playing at over 200 festivals with well known acts such as The Rasmus, Maximo Park, Die Toten Hosen, Junkie XL, Beatsteaks, Seeed and Peter Fox.
In Autumn/Winter 2009 TRANSMITTER supported the Erfurt based Electro-Rockers Northern Lite on their "Letters & Signs"-Tour & were welcomed with open arms from the fans leaving behind a very positive impression.
The German-British duo with English frontman Jeff Ogle and producer Mo Heidrich are complimented by Stefan Bielesch (drums) and Ti Schimschal (VJ), who, with his perfectly timed and arranged video sequences adds so much more to the transmitter live show.

Their impessive debut album "Pop Hooligan" got people talking in 2004, various Singles and EP's were to follow before the next longplayer. In 2007 the band released their second album titled "i see red!" which attracted international recognition with the support of a European tour.

In Autumn 2010 the bands 3rd album will be released on Northern Lites own label UNA Music. Their single "Fall to the Floor" together with the unique animated manga style video is constantly being downloaded and played all over the internet, and this is just a small taste of what's to come.

If you like your catchy hooks on top of pumping basslines with urban beats, pull out your antennas and tune in to the sound of Transmitter!

Transmitter consists of four members:

Jeff Ogle (Vocals)
Mo Heidrich (Production)
Stefan Bielesch (Live-Drums)
