Silent, Jeremy Elijah began to do his own thing; trading his
radio-friendly electrified pop-screamo sound for an acoustic guitar and an
array of so-cute-you-could-pinch-their-cheeks instruments, he's taking his
music in a new direction. Armed with backing band "the Mover/Shakers" and
a bevy of influences that range from the chamber-pop sounds of The Flaming
Lips to the literate indie rock of the Decemberists and Death Cab for
Cutie and even finding room for folk influences (think Ryan Adams),
Jeremy, behind hometown hero Kevin Devine, is already one of Staten
Island's premier indie rock acts. Despite regularly packing local venues,
though, he's not satisfied; as recording and touring intensifies, Jeremy's
got his sights set on bigger and better things. Assaulting Other States
(yes, traveling), internet merchandising, and college radio stations
alike, Jeremy plans to bring the Rock like he's never brought it
