Canadian sound-poet and poet extrodinaire. Bok follows on from the L=A=N=G=U=A=G=E tradition, focusing on words as material to be worked with rather than spoken 'through'. His most acclaimed work, 'Eunoia' (the shortest word in the English language containing all 5 vowels; meaning 'beautiful thought') took him five years of trawling through dictionaries and sorting every single word into categories to be used for speech and writing. The book is divided into 5 chapters; a,e,i,o and u - each only containing words which have the vowel (and no other) of the chapter within. 'Eunoia' is perhaps the ultimate example of successful constraint based poetry. He has also written a book on Pataphysics as well as an older poetry book called 'Crystalography'.
