TripThrottle is a new Electronica group founded and based in Rochester, NY USA. Influences such as Crystal Method, Prodigy, and Orbital are weaved with piano and guitar to create an album that appeals to the core electronic music fan, while inviting many more to the genre. In the brief time since the completion of the TripThrottle debut Altered State, the positioning statement "Electronica for the Masses" has taken hold and seems to be a very appropriate slogan.

The two members of TripThrottle are Shawn Mott and Brian Robinson. While Brian's background is in keyboards and drum programming, and Shawn’s in guitar work, each contributed to all aspects of the project, often overlapping into the others strengths.
