Shubhashish Mazumder Bappa (Bengali: শুভাশীষ মজুমদার বাপ্পা) (born 5 February 1971) mostly known as Bappa Mazumder is a Bangladeshi singer, lyricist and music composer.


Life

He is the son of music couple Ustad Barin Mazumder and Ila Mazumder. He is married to popular model, actress and dancer of Bangladesh Mehbooba Mahnoor Chandni. They were married on 21 march 2008.


Career

He is also one of the premier members of the famous Bangla band Dalchhut. Recently[when?], he has also been presenting The One, a musical based talk show on Channel One. His seventh solo album, Din Bari Jaay, was released on February 2007. His most successful solo album was Dhulo Pora Chitthi and his recent[when?] duet album with Fahmida Nabi was an instant hit as well. He most recently[when?] featured top composers Fuad, Shayan Chowdhury Arnob, Sumon (Aurthohin), Jamil (Ovation) Shuvo and himself in his newest album Bappa with the Rockers, which is said[by whom?] to have music which is different from his type of music. The album has already sold large number of copies to date.
