The Good Hand is a 1970s-inspired acid rock band from the Zwolle (and nearby Kampen), The Netherlands.

The band rose from the ashes of Mirna's Fling, the singer/songwriter band of Arjan Hoekstra. The Good Hand effectively started when Dennis Edelenbosch and Ingmar Regeling joined and started working together with Hoekstra.

The Good Hand has been compared to bands such as Cream, Neil Young & Crazy Horse and Hawkwind, but also contemporary groups such as Motorpsycho and Black Mountain.

The band's début album, simply entitled The Good Hand was released in September 2011 by Minstrel Music. Recorded at the legendary Sing Sing Studios, it showcases a fusion of great songwriting and acid prog-rock. The Good Hand uses conventional rock instruments as wll as bouzouki, tuba and piano.
