Portland Senator is a band of college students who all attend different universities. No longer amateur musicians, they have recently assembled and emerged along with the new decade. Influenced by the likes of Bon Iver, Beirut, Fleet Foxes, and My Morning Jacket, they appreciate the loud and raucous nature of many of today's music, but prefer to create a folk like environment that merges vocals with a variety of instruments.
