Go for a Ride Lyrics

Never said that we were leavin'
Hit the gas and said let's go
Started down the open highway
Looking for that dusty road

CHORUS:

No more cryin'
Gonna leave our lives behind
Let's get lost in time
Let's go for a ride
Let's go for a ride

Didn't say where we were headed
Left a crinkled rolled up note
Said we might be back here sometime
But we just really didn't know
As the days kept passing faster
We were racing into fate
Always one step from disaster
We just couldn't keep on pace

CHORUS:

No more cryin'
Gonna leave our lives behind
Let's get lost in time
Let's go for a ride
Let's go for a ride
No more cryin'
Gonna leave our lives behind
Let's get lost in time
Let's go for a ride
Let's go for a ride

Let's get lost in time
Let's go for a ride
Let's get lost in time

If you put all your time to running
There's all the things
You just don't see
Like the situation leaving
To the end of your destiny

CHORUS:

No more cryin'
Gonna leave our lives behind
Let's get lost in time
Let's go for a ride
Let's go for a ride
No more cryin'
Gonna leave our lives behind
Let's get lost in time
Let's go for a ride
Let's go for a ride

Serial Joe was a Canadian band from Newmarket, Ontario which consisted of high school students Ryan Dennis (vocals, guitar), Ryan Stever (guitar), John Davidson (bass guitar) and Dan Stadnicki (drums). The group released four full-length albums. They were the house band on "YTV System Crash", and won the 1998 Much Music Video award for best independent video ("Skidrow"), and the single from their first album, "Mistake", gained international airplay. They won several other awards, and were given the honour of performing at Woodstock 1999 in the "emerging artists" tent. In the early 2000s, they were dropped from their label and broke up shortly thereafter. Vocalist Ryan Dennis and guitarist Ryan Stever are now part of the hard rock group High Kapitol.
