Kelsey-Maree Eckstein, Was born in New Zeland. She later moved to Australia where she started studying dance at the age of 3 as well as acting and singing. She began with ballet, tap and acrobatics, then later moving into jazz, hip-hop and contemporary.
Growing up in a very musical family, Kelsey also excelled in musical instruments. She studied the drums, flute and piano, and was captain of her school band for 4 years. Kelsey was always quite a character, and this led her into more acting and comedy, as well as interests in joining the circus. She was the lead in several musicals and plays as well as appearing in national commercials. Kelsey's inspiration has always been her older special needs brother and her parents.
Although this took up a lot of Kelsey's time, she still managed to excel at school. English was her best subject, other than music, dance and drama. She enjoyed writing stories, telling stories and performing stories for her peers. Her imagination was always her way of thinking and she had always been into dark fairytales, with her creative idol being Tim Burton.
Upon graduating high school, Kelsey packed her bags and moved to Los Angeles, in pursuit of making her passion of performing into a career! Her first words were "me do it" so independence is just a part of her.

In June 2012, Kels released her Official Music Video to her first single "The Revolution". Her unique image, inspired by her love of dark fantasy and fairytales, musical knowledge and ability as well as her eclectic character driven voice, makes her something different from the rest.
Kels whole persona has been described as a "Rebel Doll", with her tagline being "RebelLove", She is ready to change the world. Her music is described as 'dark pop' with a hint of urban and a sprinkle of magic. Read more on Last.fm.
