Erin Bowman is a 23 year old singer songwriter. Her style is urban pop. Erin Bowman was born and raised in Hamilton, New Jersey and has been singing as long as she can remember.
Throughout Erin's school years she would sing in school performances, talent shows and malls throughout New Jersey and Pennsylvania. In 8th grade her choir teacher at Crockett Middle School gave Erin her first solo, "New York State of Mind" by Bill Joel. She went on to do the plays and talent shows in high school. Talent show song choices including, "It's in His Kiss," "Greatest Love of All," "I Will Always Love You," and "Bleeding Love." After graduating high school Erin began commuting to New York auditioning for production companies, girl groups and meeting with producers. At the age of 18, Erin connected with a producer and began writing and recording her own music. Writing music was new to Erin, but it seemed to come natural, it was her real relatable lyrics and passionate vocals that contributed to her early success as an independent artist.
In November 1, 2011 Erin Bowman launched her solo career releasing "Problem", one of the first songs she had written, to top 40 radio stations throughout the United States. The first station to play “Problem” was Sirius XM, 20 on 20, where it became a top 5 requested song in less than 4 weeks. Other radio stations began to play the single throughout the country and on May 21, 2012 the single debuted at #80 on the Mediabase National Top 40 Airplay Chart. In early 2012 Erin began doing promotional tours throughout the United States that included live performances and radio interviews. By the end of the summer Erin had appeared in 10 states and 17 cities. She continued in the fall on tour with "Erin Bowman's School of Pop Tour" where she performed in over 20 schools throughout the Mid-Atlantic States.
A few of Erin's most influential artists include some of the most empowering female entertainers of the 90's. TLC, Britney Spears, and Spice Girls go down in history as unstoppable leaders in the industry due to their performance quality, attitude, confidence, and consistency in making number one hits. "Although I'd prefer being a solo artist, if TLC asked me to be their fourth group member, I would have dropped out of 4th grade in an instant!" says Erin effervescently. She loved TLC because of their catchy/relatable lyrics, edgy fashion sense, and fierce attitudes. Erin aspires to become a musical influence that is talked about as one of the favorites in this generation. Most updated information can be found on her official website, www.erinbowman.net.
